SUSURU KAMI

啜る神

Bow Down. Then Slurp.

A small shop on 111 Dr. Pablo U. Abella St., serving broth we start long before you are hungry.

意味 · The name

Two words. One instruction.

啜る

Susuru

to slurp

Kami

god

Behind every slurp and every gyoza is a name that means exactly what we do. We pour everything into the details — the broth, the noodle, the egg — and the name says the rest. No mystery here. Just the work.

起源 · Origin

Our ramen style comes from Fukuoka.

In case you did not know — our ramen is inspired by Fukuoka, the home of Hakata-style ramen. That means a pork bone broth simmered until it turns opaque, thin straight noodles that cook in seconds, and a bowl built to be eaten fast and hot.

The style travelled. Everything else happens right here in our kitchen in Banawa — every pot, every night.

道のり · The main story

Talisay → Banawa → ?????

From a cart to a shop. And then?

Every bowl we serve carries the story of how we started. The cart in Talisay is gone now — but it is the reason the broth tastes the way it does.

  1. 01The cart

    Talisay

One cart, one burner, and a broth we refused to rush. We served until the pot ran dry, then went home and started another.

  2. 02The shop

    Banawa

A room of our own on Dr. Pablo U. Abella Street. Same broth, same stubbornness — now with chairs, and a line out the door on a good night.

    Susuru Kami — Banawa
  3. 03The thirdSoon

    ?????

The third pot is already on. That is all we are saying for now.

物語 · The whole story

板前 · Behind the pass

The head chef

The broth, the noodle, the reason any of this tastes the way it does. A few minutes with the person who runs our kitchen.

作法 · How to susuru

Eat it like a ramen god.

There is no wrong way to enjoy a bowl. But there is a way that gets you the most out of ours, and it takes about six seconds to learn.

  1. 1

    Smell it first

Lean in before you touch anything. The broth has been going for hours — meet it properly.

  2. 2

    Sip the broth

Spoon first, no noodles. This is the part we spent all night on.

  3. 3

    Loosen the noodles

Lift them out of the broth and let them fall back. They cook the whole time they sit.

  4. 4

    Slurp loudly

Air cools the noodles and carries the aroma up. Quiet eating is the only bad manners here.

  5. 5

    Work the toppings in

Break the ajitama late. Push the chashu under so it drinks the broth.

  6. 6

    Finish the bowl

Add rice or extra noodles if you are still going. Kanpai either way.

We take the pot on the road.

Our first booth

Aurora Music Festival

Two days after our very first event, we were still buzzing. As a small team with a young brand, we're grateful to everyone who stopped by, tried our food, and showed us patience while we found our rhythm. We took every lesson home with us.

One loud evening

Harley-Davidson Night

What a ride. Arigatou to the Harley-Davidson management for having us, and to everyone who stopped by, lined up, and slurped with us.

振り返り · A look back

2025

Unforgettable firsts, shop upgrades, and a lot of bowls.

From our very first booth at Aurora Music Festival, to upgrades in the shop, to every bowl we served and every smile shared — 2025 was full of moments that warmed our hearts. A huge thank you to our team and our Susuru fam for making it all possible. Here is to a bolder 2026: warmer bowls, great conversation, and countless slurps.
